Memphis Greek Festival Commemorates 50th Anniversary on May 9 & 10
MEMPHIS Souvlakia, spanakopeta and baklava are just a few of the treats that hungry patrons enjoy every May at
the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church during the Memphis Greek Festival. The largest fundrasing event for the
church, the festival celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Organizers, led by Chairman Nick Kourvelas, are keeping
the food that the community loves while adding a few new ingredients to make the festival an even more delectable
experience for all who attend.

WHEN: Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10 · 11 am 8 pm · Rain or shine
HIGHLIGHTS: Greek food galore including spanakopeta (spinach pie) gyros, souvlakia (Greek shish kebabs),
baklava, flaming cheese, Greek pizza, kouriambiethes (sugar‐covered cookies) and more!
A marketplace featuring imported Greek items including Greek wines, stylish clothing, olive oils,
icons, sculptures and more.

Admission to the festival costs $2, and children under 12 are admitted for free. A portion of
